t190 code 14-02

So, I am trying to spread small rip-rap on my new sea wall and my machine starts dies; code 14-02. i check boo and it shows fuel solenoid. After a few minutes it starts and runs for 20 min then it beeps 3 time and dies. Start it,3 beeps and dies. Whats it mean and what do I do? I do not have the service manual.

most likely just replace the solenoid and the problem will go away..

Do i have to buy this solenoid from Bobcat or is there an aftermarket from a store such as Napa. Thanks!

You'll have to get that solenoid from Bobcat or Kubota. I don't have my book in front of me, what did that code say exactly. Sometimes it is just a ground problem or a connector problem in that jumper harness. The newer solenoids don't use that jumper harness.

Before u buy a solenoid at the dealer, check the relay in the fuse panel between your ankles in front of the seat.

The only thing it shows on my 2004 machine is the code 14-02 behind the hour meter when I hold it for any codes. Strange thing is that I wait 15-20 minutes and after starting it 3 or 4 times (and it shutting down each time) it will continue to run for 15-30 minutes and will suddenly do the same thing and again show the same code.

I was asking what the book said for the 14-02 code. Did it say open ground? shorted solenoid? etc?

I do not have a book on this machine, only the short manual behind the seat.

My book says, "Fuel shut-off pull solenoid error ON". Book is for a 2007.

I decided to replace solenoid after further checking; however this is a very good point for all Bobcat owners to take note of. Bobcat dealer price for this solenoid only(no valve) was $ 304.00; the same part from a Kubota tractor dealer down the road was $ 143.00. Same kubota part for same Kubota engine. I believe people should make a fair profit (and keep in mind that the tractor delaer is making a profit at $143) but Bobcat's profit is radically excessive (actually insulting). Bobcat's additional profit would have been more than the my total cost of the part.

For kubota parts buy from M G Bryan equipment I believe they are located in Texas, and they ship same day. #972-623-4300 They have always had any part for a Kubota in stock I have ever needed, and they can tell you the torque of any bolt on the engine from memory. They are very good.
