I would take your tape measure to the dealer and measure a few tires of different brands. A big Ag tire dealer should have plenty to measure. This size difference is very common with tires. Start measuring truck tires, like 33's,35's, etc and you will be pretty surprised at the measurements, even as you say with the tire unloaded. In my experience I have found the Firestones tend to run larger in diameter than Goodyears for the same size tire. I would recommend checking out the Firestones and also if you drive by some tractor dealers, measure some tires. Just my 2 cents.

If you know anybody with a 1755 Oliver you might be in luck. Many came with the 7.5-15 according to an old "Official Guide" book.

Sounds like I have the answer I was asking for. Thanks. They're not much different from the 6.50X16's that I have now. Found a set of "off-brand" 7.50X16's that are shorter than some I've measured. 3" taller than 6.00's. Might try that route. Gotta find a couple 6" or 7"X16, 6 lug wheels.

You're welcome. I first got onto it after reading that someone wanted to put larger tires on the front of his four wheel drive tractor. I knew that the ratios would be thrown off, but didn't know exactly how to tell him of the dangers. I found this link and thought it explained it very well, and probably saved the guy a lot of troubles.
