Taxes are completed

Had my federal and state taxes completed today. Two weeks early! Daughter still had a return on file from 2010. She will get two federal refunds and two state refunds. Me, a nice federal refund and once again, need to send the state a check. Going to sleep well tonight. Usually wait until the eleventh hour.

I got my taxes finished early in March. It's a good feeling to be done with it for another year.

This is second year I have used Turbo Tax, and I have to say it takes 90% of the preparation pain out of the ordeal. Wish I would have given in several years earlier. :laughing:

Turbo tax timy... I still need to mail them. Daughter had stamps on hers within the hour.

My tax goal is to get nothing back and not owe anything. Refunds just mean that you overpaid the government and that they have had the pleasure of using your money interest free for the past year.:2cents:

First goal is to pay nothing, 2nd is to get as much back as possible (rarely happens), have been a Turbotax guy since it was MacInTax. Likely file about apr 14th.

I'm happy for you. I'm expecting to owe a five figure tax bill. Not thrilled about that. Paid in plenty more than last year too.

I'm in that club too, mine will get filed early next week and i will cut a very large check... No penalties though. Funny how when you owe you file late....
