TBN's so-called FF policy

Censors by their very nature are political. They can't help it. The result is that they are biased, hopefully in your favor!
But sometimes they need to make an example from their way of thinking.

When I taught- I noticed that there were some students that were always being punished. They were not any worse than the others, they just took their punishment and the administration was rewarded with an easy job of it.

The ones whose parents came in, or the ones who put up a fuss - well, whenever possible authority looked the other way - made the day run more smoothly!

Once a student got a "frequent flyer" designation, then they were a target for discipline from all of those in authority (someone was guaranteed to have their back)!

TBN- I don't own it. Someone else calls the shots.
I'd be commenting in FFP but I am too stubborn to get the invite back since being booted.

I don't miss the right wing crap however! (Will that close this one!)

It contained the "f word" (with an asterisk in the middle of it so that the "naughty word checker" wouldn't replace it with asterisks). Hence the reason why it and the posts that quoted it were removed.

Protip: Replacing one letter in a word with an asterisk so that the "naughty word checker" doesn't replace the whole word with asterisks doesn't make that word any more acceptable and will generally cause your post to be removed...

Something along the lines of the following would not be pulled unlike the original post (which had words in place of the bolded ones that would have been removed by the "naughty word checker" had they not had asterisks in the middle of them)...

Do you guys ever wonder what the lazy nincompoops who live in apartments and are coddled by their mommas and wives do when they are out of work? Worthless, lazy bums deserve nothing but contempt...they probably spend the vast majority of their free time sitting on their fat butts and watching tv....how can anybody be so LAZY????

Wow. Maybe JD would like the millions that live in apartments and condos to move next to him and sub-divide all the acreage into nice 100' x 150' lots with picket fences.

Posts containing masked profanity are not done by accident any more than are political posts outside the Friendly Politics forum are. They are deliberate violation of the rules, the rules every member agreed to abide by when they registered. It is more than a little ironic that people who make posts bemoaning the decline of society and standards of behavior are frequently the same people who engage in this behavior. If you cannot, or will not, abide by them, stop posting. No need to ask your userid be deleted, or make (a) grand exit(s), just stop posting.

TBN has grown to the size and membership it has because of the rules which have been in place from the beginning.

If you want TBN, the site, or any TBN forum, to become a 'free for all, anything goes' online sewer like far too many Internet discussion forums, it's not going to happen.
