TC-24D \"New\" air filter..has any one seen this?

Ok I might sound a bit agrivated, but that because I am...I decided to buy my TC-24D over many differnt tractors on the market, mostly becuase I thought it had a very nice fit and finish, design...exc. I have had it just over 2 years, and love it....Till my most recient visit to my local dealer..I was given a air filter, that in NO WAY was designed for my tractor... I have been getting a very nice NewHolland filter that snaped into the air box, like it was designed to for years, then I was told they changed it to this new style? The new one sit in the air box like my size 14 boots fit on my 2 year old, then the man at the dealer said the lid holds the filter in place? Maybe, but not very snugly, and no way near the quality of the prior piece. The new filter is something that looks as if they retro fit it for the tractor, it fits in the box, so they put some more foam on the end so it will make contact with the air box lid so it will hold it in place...this is not good enough for me! The old piece had a snug fit, a rubber groment to keep it sealed very tightly, and this new filter is a joke! Any one else have a coment on this? Or know where I can get a case of the old ones?

Get the number to the 'old' filter.. and have someone like napa cross it for you... see if it is the design you like.

I have tried that, Napa, Car Quest, Exc. so far no luck. I am hoping the company that made the old one for New Holland will sell them to someone else so I can buy them elsewhere...

According to the computer system this is still a current part number. When filter designs change typicaly they assign a new part number and post a supercede to the new part. This is not showing up yet, does this new odd ball filter have the same part number?

Thats it, you just sent me your last one two days ago...All the new ones are blue...I might change my air box to the newer TC-24DE model if there is a difference or go with some aftermarket K& N filter cause the factory replacement fits like garbage.

This guy looks to be looking for the same filter?
