I am thinking of buying an extended warranty for my TC30, have any of you had any experience, good or bad with the coverage they provide?

Why do you need an extended warranty?

I have always considered any extended warranty to be a bad investment. I never buy them for anything. I think if you take care of your tractor you'll be OK without it.

Before buying an extended warranty READ the policy verry carefully to see what is covered and what is not. Most only cover power train(engine, trans, rearend). These are things that you seldom have problems with. A hydrostat may be a different story. Just remember if somethings fails because of abuse or lack of maintenence it's not covered.

I bought a 95' suburban. It had 3 years on it when I bought it so I purchased a full 2 year extended warranty. Cost me $850.00 back then.
A month later the entire AC system went caput. Guess how much the repair bill was..... $850.00. 6 months later the tranny went $1,200.00.

Extended warranties when bought intelligently can be a Godsend.
Read the fine print and buy the most coverage you can reasonably afford. In my situation it was the right thing to do. Just my .02 /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
