Tire spin is the problem with a blade that's too big. With my 60" I can have dirt over flowing over the top and still keep moving.

I have a DX 33 and a landpride 60" box scrapper. I have had mine full of good 'ol Missouri clay and it never missed a lick. Last summer before I traded my 1320 NH in for the DX I had a 6' box blade on the back of the 1320 doing some work on some gravel roads at our local fair grounds. The 1320 handled it but did not run away with it. The 1320 was only a 20 HP rated unit. I think if a person did not get to radical the 33 would handle it fine. I think the 66" box blade would be the ideal setup though. I am going to look around for one to trade my 60" unit for.

Something seems strange here. Maybe one of the other guys will add in. My TC35D with Turf tires are 6 ft wide. (Were talking wide for a TC35) So don't see how a TC33 can be as wide it being a class smaller.

It sounds like there has been a tire and/or wheel change. My TC33DA has industrial tires and is almost exactly 60" wide. My Bush Hog 60" BB covers the tracks, but does not reach out to the side. For my use, that is OK, because I need to take it through 6 ft wide gates. I know if my loader bucket fits through, the rest of the tractor, including the box blade, will also (as long as I don't turn the steering wheel too soon before the box blade clears the gate /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif).

17.5 - 24 tires are used on class III boomers... 48.8" tall
15 - 19.5 are used on class II boomers...40.5 tall.
That extra 4'' radius looks like it would hit the fenders on
my class II. Were front tires changed also?

My TC33D measures 60" across the back outside tire to outside tire.

I have a 04 TC33DA with the Titan Multi Trac turf tires. The width to the outside of the tire side wall is almost 60". The owners manual lists the width as 60.2" (close enough since there are two different turf tires that were available but in same size).

It lists the Industrial tire size as 15 x 19.5 and gives a width of 62.0". The Galaxy turf tires are significantly wider at 67.75".

I've done a bunch of moderately heavy grading with my 6' box scraper behind my NH 1920 at 33 HP. No problems pulling it, even uphill, and the extra width sure is nice.

Okay everyone, brain cramp time. Went out last night to measure my tires again, glanced at the hood and noticed that I have the TC35D, not the 33. You would think I would know, wouldn't ya????

Actually, I bought the unit used late last fall, and it has been in storage since then. So, since it is a 35D, will this handle a 72" box blade? That would just cover the tire tracks.
