I thought of something else, why cant you buy a metal L and use 2 small pieces of straight hose to connect the metal L to the other metal lines. A metal L should not be hard to find, what is it about 1/2 inch line?

I took a new TC33D for a test drive last year. I didnt get more then 100 yards down the road and the hose broke. To say the least it did turn me off to that model.
I hope I will not find this problem on my TC24DA. BUT thanks for the heads up, I'll keep a eye on mine.

The big question is, they knew of the problem with the 33d, why did they not fix it with the 33da model?
It would seem that using a metal 90 degree joint would be better than the hose that is currently used. A short strong straight hose could be used inline with less trouble than the 90 degree hose.
Is the hose for pressure releaf?, movement between engine and raditator?- but the need for the 90 degree hose really needs to be fixed.

Hi All: I am a newbie, AND an amateur!
Which hoses are you guys talking about. I have a TC 29D w/300 hours on it. If I can find the hoses in question I can have my brother make up custom high pressure hoses for replacements.

I think you got it right. The change in material from metal to flexible hose is to allow for expansion & contraction between temperature extremes. If you used a 90 degree metal connector could very well be much less reliable. Looks like NH has the right idea but the hose section is too short. That's why Sound Guys design in his tractor is much better as the loop will take much more expansion & contraction than a short 90 degree hose section will. Has anybody ever heard this happening to a TC 35D. Will have to look at mine tomorrow morning but would think it is the same design in Class 3 BOOMER !!

Well one of the hoses blew today on my TC29D with 455 hours. Lucky I was close to the barn and was able to make it under, but sure do have a mess to clean up, both under the barn and under the hood. The dealer didn't have the part in stock, so it'll be Thur (maybe) before the hoses come in. I told him to order me 2 new ones, but now am thinking of getting him to order me 2 more spares to keep on hand. When one of these hoses goes out, you're basically dead in the water with a Hydro Unit!!!!! Has anyone heard if the replacement hoses are any better than the original? Surely by now NH would have come up with a better mouse trap.

kozak, the 35, 40, 45 series (class III) use a completely different design. All fittings are high-pressure style and the hose itself is hydraulic hose with regular swaged-on hydraulic end fittings. No hose clamps or whimpy hose sections fortuneately. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
