TC-35D had loose bolts

After 70 hrs and maybe at birth my TC35D (same as 40 and 45) had 3 out of 4 loose bolts. Check yours cause there is nothing worst than loose "nuts". There are 2 bolts, gold, (size 19) on each side of the "yolk" that holds the front drive shaft and the front axle to the gray frame. On the left they are between the exhaust pipe and the front axle housing and on the right they are below the hydrolic pump and below the bypass hose from the radiator to the block, but to the rear of the front axle housing. We should all be more dilligent at checking our nuts. Frank

I know I am getting old, but I swear I posted the same problem a few weeks ago, and now I can't find it. However, you are correct that this is a problem area. On my TC45D, I found two bolts backed out so that they were only finger tight. I'm sure glad I found it before the whole front end went "walk-about"./w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

New Holland does have a quality control problem, I lost all the hydraulic fluid out of my TN when the bolt that holds the lift arm pin came out, I was brush chopping and when I looked back the chopper was crooked and the oil was pouring out. I also had a power steering line leaking and the bolt that ties the remote to the joystick fell out. I hope NH does something about this and so far my dealer has no problems fixing these things but they are an inconvience at times.
