TC 35D - Screens???

I just finished my 50 hr service recently. I see that some owners of other brands mention cleaning out metal shavings from screens. I didn't see any mention of screens in my 50 hr service... did I miss something?

I didn't have any screens to contend with on the Mighty TC18 either. Must be the lean mean BLUE machines have a better fit and finish inside the engines as well as on the outside of the tractor! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

No, JimBinMI, New Holland just figured if they didn't bother with putting screens or strainers in there, those metal shavings would wear that blue machine out sooner and they could sell you another one./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Paccorti, I think you have two spin on filters on that New Holland and they don't have the screens or strainers that Kubotas have. Your machine should be a little less work, and a little more expense, to change the oil and filters./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Ok that makes sense. I do have two hydraulic filters: an HST filter and a hydraulic filter. Also looking around the manuals I did see a screen in the hydraulic diverter block. Of course no part of the manual mentions cleaning it... Does this mean your 2710 has just one hydraulic filter? Just curious.

Yep, Peter, my 2710 just has a single filter, and two strainers. The new 2910s have two filters, and I understand the new 2710s do also, but I haven't seen one yet.
