Had a battery maintainer on my TC18 during the winter months, when we removed the maintainer and fired up the tractor it started just fine but then there was a puff of smoke, a loud pop. We shut it down and now will not start or show any electric current at dash. Battery still has 13 volts. We replaced the voltage regulator, old one was obviously damaged, but still none of the lights will light on the dash and of course, tractor will not start. Any ideas? Do I need a new wiring harness? Anything else in the line besides the voltage regulator that might need replacing?

I would look for wiring damage from mice chewing on them. They like to nest under the dash and other places. If not mice/wires, also check fuses and any relays.
