TC18 quit charging

Ok, I checked between the two wires at alt .and I get 24v ac low idle and 30v ac full throttle. So, looks to me like alt is good? So, now I will check the wires for continuity.

Yes, I would say it passes the test of a minimum of 28v ac at full throttle. Checking wires and any connectors would be my next move.

FIXED IT!!!! Thanks everyone, Never would of thought the alt put out ac volts, and I found the problem, the wiring harness between the regulator, indicator light relay, and main harness was in bad shape and some of the wires were touching, I just made a new one with separate wires and individual terminals until I can find another harness, or find connectors to make my own. It's only about six inches long. Thanks again, you guys are great!!
