TC18 tach and hour meter stopped

I have an old TC18 from 1999. Tach and hour meter stopped working. I used to be able to get it to start working by a coupplease of hits to the instrument panel. but it always stops working Again. Based on the parts list it could be a cable, an elbow, or the instrument panel. Anyone have this issue?

I don't have that issue but sometimes if the collars get loose at the end of the cable it can cease to drive the gauge. Pull it apart and see if the center section is intact. You may be able to get a replacement center cable from an auto parts store without buying the whole cable if it turns out that's broken.

I sometimes have to tap my panel to get the gauges to move. Messick's has the cable and the elbow if you need it.
