TC24D losing power after 30min or so. currently while snowblowing

Update! .. removed the fuel filter and it was clean. The diesel however was not. It was full of either water or gel. I drained the entire tank and siphoned the rest out with a drill pump. I flushed the tank with some new diesel and cleaned the filter in a bath of good diesel. (45min drive to the New Holland dealer and it's a Sunday). Filter has only a couple hours on it so I think I'm ok.. I'll be picking up a couple spare filters this week.
Air filter although appeared to be dirty and obstructed, was not. I put my shop vac on the end of it and it barely drew down. Since it's higher end shopvac this tells me there is nothing of concern with the air filter.
I've put it all back together and it runs fine. I'll have to pick up some diesel and wait until the next storm (tomorrow) to really try it.
I'll post my results in case anyone else ever searches this thread.

Good to know... fuel related issues can be very frustrating...

Had a boat in San Francisco Bay that was given to me... the previous owners always had problems... boat was built around the fuel tank and the tank was made of monel...

Anyway, I solved the problem with a $250 full blown marine filter that should have been way overkill... it wasn't and worth every penny!

Maybe you had a fuel clouding/gelling issue or some type of algae. Be sure to put fuel additive in to keep your new fuel from going bad. I'm using a Hastings FF882 fuel filter in my TC40D. This should be available at an auto parts store (they can cross reference it to the brands that they carry). Make sure that you get rid of the fuel that you drained out.

If it is not a stopped up tank, replace the filter again. I have had to replace those filters when they were new before. The tank has just a small tube? Make sure it is free.
