Hey Guys

I'm a long time listener, first time caller.
Reading the wealth of info here has helped me out numerous times and I thank you for it. Everthing from deciding on which machine to purchase, to matainance tips, to how to correct a frozen fuel line. Hopefully one of these days I too will be able to contribute some valuable info.

Anyway, I'm in the market (just like everyone else) for a cab for my snow removal. I've finally sent NH the last payment for my machine (TC24DA incl a front mount blower) and since I'll have a few extra bucks this month I figured it would be a good time to purchase one. I would love to buy a Laurin, but thats some crazy cash. So as I looked at other manufacturers, I noticed a big price difference betwen the TC24D and TC24DA. I thought they were basically the same machine, just maybe newer and hydro.
Can anyone tell me the difference in the two?

I guess if all else fails I'll look into the cheaper route, like the soft cab by Original Tractor Cab.

Thanks for any info you can send my way.
Mike

I think they are the same but the DA is newer and had the newer veritcal headlights and a revised control layout on the dash, but other than the same tractor. My 24D is hydro.

Welcome to TBN Mike.

Speaking of Laurin Cabs ... here is a picture of my TC18 with a Laurin cab. It came in handy this morning. A friend of mine put a old John Deere cab on his TC30. A little modification was required. Ok a little more than a little but he did get it to fit and it looks great too.

Steve, that TC18 looks awesome. That just makes me want to own one, and I don't have any need for a snow removal tractor. That might be the best looking little tractor I've ever seen. Thanks for posting that picture.:)

Thanks for the positive comments Jim. It's been a great little tractor. The cab is great in the winter blowing snow. I bought this tractor from a friend who found it too small for his needs. I was a little concerned that this small tractor would not handle all the lake effect snow we receive here. After three winters of heavy snow falls all concerns are gone. Yesterday we woke up to 6-8 inches of heavy wet snow and it was a easy cleanup.

jwstewar- Thanks for the info, thats exactly what I thought. I think the difference in the cabs is when they went to the LA12 loader. Its not in the same position as the older 7106, so the cabs wont interchange unless its a bare machine.

Luremaker- Very nice machine. That Laurin cab looks great. I wish they weren't so expensive. But you get what you pay for, right.
I too am very pleased with the performance of the small NH's. My blower (CS51) is a little smaller that the one your running but it works great. Well let me rephase that it works great in the deep heavy snow. The 1-2 in of wet slush, not so much. Its times like that I wish I had a plow.
