TC24D

I have been taking to dealers about a tc33d with a mmm and a subframe bh. It seems that you would need to remove a bracket on the frame to us the mmm. The bracket is what the subframe attaches to when using the bh. This involves removing two bolts holding the bracket to the frame. The bolts are very accessable. So if you are willing to reset or remove two bolts-you can use a subframe BH and then a mmm. Seems reasonable to me. I had one dealer describe the set up to me in this way. The other dealer was contacting NH and has not gotten a response. Good luck with your quest !

Hey Bruce,

I just have the B2410 Kubota. When I was originally buying New Holland didn't have the 24 hp, so I was in fact looking at the TC29D. I just took that photo at the local Farm Fair here a couple of weeks ago. It was the first time I'd seen the 24D in person.

It is a very nice looking tractor and felt pretty comfortable.

It is not that easy. We advise our customers to choose a MMM or backhoe, not both. Be fully aware of what has to be removed/installed.

Yeah, I don't think I would be interested in the MMM if I had to remove the BH mounting brackets to use it (or, conversely, I wouldn't want to install the BH brackets each time I wanted to dig).

Rick - Could you give me some idea of what is involved with removing or resetting the BH brackets on a tc33d? A brief descriprtion and estimated time would be very helpful. Thanks

The backhoe brackets that will have to be removed involve the rear two bolts that also attach the loader's rear mounting, on the clutch housing. The MMM's front bracket mounts there. More importantly, there is a bracket that mounts under the tractor about 1/2 way between the aforementioned mount and the rear of the tractor. This is where the rear of the mower hangs from, and I don't think the hoe subframe will clear this bracket. Also the MMM lift rods and brackets will need to be removed to mount the hoe. I just don't see how anyone could be happy with this arrangement. Any NH with turf tires and NH backhoe has very little subframe ground clearance.

As near as I can tell, for all intents and purposes, this means setting up the MMM each time you want to use it. In other words, install and set up the MMM, cut the grass. Take the MMM, as well as all the brackets, rods, etc. off the tractor Then mount the hoe and related brackets, until it's time to cut the grass again. This would get old real fast! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Thanks Rick- The dealer was describing the work nedded to instal BH bracket but was not detailing the extent of work to instal the mmm. I think the salesmen may not have known what was involved. I think a trip to see a service tech at the dealer is next. Thanks for the tip.
