TC24DA Has Arrived!

Hi Everyone,

I have a HUGE grin as I finally got my new tractor (TC24DA) , not sure who was more excited, me or my wee boys /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif . I decided in the end to go with a 5ft RFM RD from Buhler (Farm King) and it should get a good workout this weekend. The dealer also put on a rear remote, which should come in handy with the snowblower this winter.

Thanks to everyone for their input on my previous mower question. Our local dealer is really great and was extremely helpful, heck they even dropped off a 5ft box blade for me to play with! I will be sure to post a bunch of pics, but for now all I have is a pic my wife snapped of a bunch of grinning individuals perched on the new tractor.

Now I just need to figure out where to get and place a cup holder on this puppy. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Congratulations on your new NH! I have owned the previous model TC-24D for about 2 1/2 years and love it. You're really going to like that rear remote for the blower, its one of my favorite options.

One word of caution - keep that rear end weighted heavy for FEL work and keep it low and slow. I have my tires loaded and keep a rear blade on the back and could use more. The 12LA is strong and the bucket is way out front with the curved loader arms.

I would like to hear how it handles the 5' box blade, been thinking of getting one myself.

First Congrats FlumpyDog. I really like my TC24D. I've had it for almost 3 years and 500 hours now. No real problems to speak of.

Brad:

I have a 5' KK boxblade I pull behind my 24. Dealer said I could go either 4 or 5 but he recommended 5 to cover the tracks (he had both on the lot). If the scarifiers are all of the way down, yes it will stop the tractor. Just lift the blade a little bit and keep on going. Other than that, no problem pulling it. I've been using it to spread out a bunch of part sandy part clay muck spoils out that we had removed from the ditch on our property. I'll fill the box all of the way up and drag it throughout the yard. I've only got the rippers down one notch while I'm doing this.

Thanks Jim. I asked the question a while back and remember you saying no problems with the 5'. I just missed one in our Want Ad Digest. Didn't mention brand, just H/D, used very little, 5', $250 /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Will have to watch those ads a little closer.

Congrats on your new piece of equipment......or as the wife says...toy! I pretty sure you will be more than happy with this tractor as I have been. If you are interested in some more information, seach by user name "Mega_Me" and you should find some helpful information here from everyone.
