New Holland TC24DA
TC24DA, 12LA FEL and 60" MMM....$18,000
TC33DA, 14LA FEL and 72" MMM....$22,500

I just couldn't swallow that xtra $$$ for the 33. As much as I wanted it, I know I made the right choice. The $11,000 for my TC21D, FEL & MMM that I will trade in was not what I was hoping to get for it, but I accepted it. The 21 served me well for 5 yrs and 1500+hrs with no problems other than the one that just developed. However, I felt it was time to unload it.

I will admit this...I'm fairly certain I could have beat the price by going out of state (I did for the 21), it's just that I wanted the benefits of buying from a local dealer. This dealer really showed that customer service is a priority for them. I have given the parts dept all my biz for the 21, but never needed any service. Then, when my 21 developed a problem right in the middle of a big project, I needed assistance ASAP. The service dept picked it up the next day and loaned me a 2120 with FEL to use.

So I really can't complain...cost me about $250 to have my tractor, picked up, repaired, delivered, and the use of the 2120, for almost a week. That's customer service!!

I should have the TC24DA within 2 weeks.

TC,

I can't agree with you more. Dealer service is so important. Good luck with your new rig, your gonna like it.

A dealer willing to loan a tractor to a geniunely interested customer can score big points indeed. My local NH dealer loaned me a unit, which was a little bigger than the one I was originally interested in (he did not have the precise model available to loan me), for the entire weekend. Lo and behold, he never got it back. I told him that if he quoted me a good price on it, I would simply keep it. He did, and I did. An unexpectedly pleasant experience for sure.

Congratulations, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with your new machine. I really like the new control layout and yes I also like the new lights of course, I like the lights on my tractor too. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When I first talked to the service manager, there was no discussion about my possible interest in a new machine. His offer for a loaner was in response to my need to get my 21 fixed ASAP. I had a project to finish!!

I'm not sure if other dealers normally loan out machines to first time service customers, especially if I didn't buy there. That gesture alone, scored big points with me.

Thanks...
The first time I saw a pic of the new light set up. I wasn't sure I liked it. But after seeing them in person, I was sold.

I also hope the new controls for the FEL make it easier to remove/install the loader. Most of the time, it's a pain trying not to hit the joystick box with the loader frame on my 21.

You won't have that problem anymore. The only thing that is remotely close is the little metal bracket that hoses get routed through. I've banged mine a couple of times - usually on the removal. I have to bend it back in place. The other thing I've done a few times (slow learner I guess /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif) is I forget to put the parking stand back up in place after re-attaching the loader. Haven't hurt anything - so far. I've been good, I haven't forgotten in a while. Better then forgetting to put it down though before removal.

BTW, installation/removal takes max 5 minutes and that is on a day that it doesn't cooperate. If everything goes right it is about 2 minutes for each. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

How stable is the kick stand set up? I haven't even seen one of the new LA loaders not mounted to a tractor yet.

Another question...are the FEL hyd couplers a better quality? The original ones on my 7106 were junk IMO. They 'sweat' at first and eventually leaked, so I replaced them with a good quality(forgot the name). It's been well over 1000 hrs and the new ones are as dry as the day I installed them. Even when out working in dry, dusty dirt, next to nothing has collected on them. Add to the fact that I take the FEL off every time I mow now, so that increases the likelyhood of them leaking.

As far as the kick stand setup, it seems to be fairly stable - but I don't let the kids go around/play on it when it is off (not that that is a good idea anytime /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif). I have wiggled my around a little bit stepped on the bucket and it hasn't offered to move or anything though.

As far as the connections. I don't really have anything to compare them to, but they do drip a little bit when you first disconnect them. Haven't noticed any leaks on mine when they are connected though and I'm at 1 1/2 year & 284 hours. As far as stuff collecting in them. Mine usually has a little some grass and stuff up in them. I usually take it by the water house and spray them out with the hose real quick. Easier to dry the water then it is to make sure you get every particle of dirt.
