TC24DA Seat Options??

Here I am today with a sore back and trying to get all the spring tasks done with the tractor, feeling every bump I drove over uggghhhhh..... wishing the seat was more forgiving.

Has anyone here switched their seat out for something else with some suspension on it? Could you mount the seat from a TC33 on the TC24? It is a shame that some of the competitor's offer a suspension seat as an option on their smaller tractors, but not NH. That is about my only gripe I have with my little gem.

Hi Chuck,

I can sympathize with your sore back. I have a TC33D with a suspension seat and can vouch for its comfort. I guess you could go to your dealer with a tape measure and see how the mounting holes match up. I believe I also saw some comfortable looking seats at Tractor Supply, not sure if you have those in Canada; maybe something like Canadian Tire carries replacement seats which you might be able to adapt if a New Holland can't be. Hope you can find something because bouncing around with a sore back is no fun.

I was hoping that someone would have changed up the seat by now on their beloved TC24 . I will head over to the dealers sometime this week and see what they can offer/suggest, even if I need to do some modifications, I think it will be worth it. I really love this tractor, just wish it did not have the lawn tractor type of seat on it. But that is my only complaint as this little unit has been serving me extremely well .

Sorry I don't have a TC24 but when I bought my Ford 1900 I wasn't impressed with the lack of bounce in the seat, I knew it wasn't going to be kind to my back. A proper piston type suspension seat wasn't possible so what they did was to place 4 Kubota seat springs under the seat to give it some give. Works great and was an easy fix. Not sure if it's possible on your TC24 but might be worth a look. Good luck.

I feel your pain. we have a TC-23, same family as the TC-24. I checked with the dealer sometime ago and there were no bolt-on replacement seats. I think NH has really hurt themselves by not offering better seats, or seat options, for their small compact tractors. I would be willing to pay $150-200 for a nice suspension seat that bolts on. Overall, we have been happy with our TC-23.
