From what I see a person may have a tough time finding it locally.
I had to order mine from some place in New England. I'd use it, in the summer, if there was a local place to buy it.

I would doubt that since it is a total redesign of the system!

The noise has been traced to the harmonics off the oil flow thru the hydraulic system.
Are these harmonics harmful to the hydraulic system or just irritating to the ears?

Murph,

Bio-diesel also comes from soybeans. It burns cleaner, and prevents contaminent build-up in your fuel system, it's more of a solvent than regular deisel. As far as finding it, I guess I'm lucky. I have a gas station about 3 miles from me that sells 100% Bio-deisel, and about 10 miles from home there's a place that sells an 80/20 or 90/10 mix. Thats 10 or 20% bio. If you run the 100% bio, then yes it defintely smells like french fries. The drawback is that is is less cold tolerent than regular deisel, and I'm not sure if you could use a thinner with 100% bio...I doubt it.

Holmes,

I have a Kubota 2410 HST with loader and my father has a TC33D HST with midmountmower (no loader). The TC33D has a very smooth sounding engine and runs as good as my Kubota. I have used the TC33 with a Woods rearblade to plow a driveway this past blizzard. The TC33 is kept in an unheated garage and starts promptly even in cold weather. I prefer the ergonomic style and plush seat of the TC33D over my KUBOTA. They are both good tractors and quality made. I do not notice any whine on the TC33 even in cold weather.

After several test drives and reading the extensive material on this website, I have settled on a TC33D with 7308 FEL.
The TC33D I tested out last Saturday had a Hydraulic whine when operating the loader. I mentioned it to the dealer yesterday, he said it was due to the hydraulic pump transmitting vibration or harmonic through the metal hydraulic lines. line inplace and sound is now gone.
Hope this helps..

You mention with something in place the noise is gone.. What is it that was put in place to reduce the noise?

I haven't seen it yet to verify. He said he switched from steel hydraulic line to rubber line or only a portion of it. The steel line starts to resonate from the pump.
