Just seems weird to have two hoses going like that on a two year old rig.
I agree. I've had my TC25D 2 years this month and think it's unusual as well. None of the other rubber hydraulic lines have degraded like this, specifically the short hose that's directly above the HST filter. I wonder if it is related to being that close to the battery?

Mike,

Didn't think of that but that more than likely is why they have detoriated.

FYI;

On My TC30 The hose connecting to the hst filter crack or split Just as those on the oil cooler. Dealer replaced it under warranty as I only had about 40 hours at the time. The comment from the service guy was that they had seen this on a couple of other tc30s. the were looking into the problem thought on the tc30 is may be a stick valve in the hst causing an over pressure. But from what I am seeing here is that it may be design problem with those hoses. just a thought.

I replaced both of my hoses. I can't get them to stop leaking when the tractor is running?? There must some type of high pressure there, look at the following pictures. The first pic is with the tractor off, the second will be with the tractor on. You will see the hose blows up like a balloon.

I see what you're talking about. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It almost looks as if you have the wrong hose for the job. I would think that it would need to be steel reinforced if it's seeing that kind of pressure. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It's hard to tell but it also looks like the clamps are a bit large. If the clamp is large even by a small amount it'll prevent you from sealing the hose to the tube securely enough to halt that much pressure.

Original clamps and the hose is steel reinforced. I will call my dealer tomorrow and see what he has to say.

I used a medium sized screw driver and turned until I could not turn any more. I think I was initially being tentative for fear of crushing the pipe. Plus, I positioned the clamps so the heads of the screws faced forward which made it much easier to tighten them with a screwdriver.
