Tom, with the problem you just had and those of the past I'd consider some change in your fuel purchasing or storage techniques. If you're getting water/ice, there's definetely something wrong. I've had diesel tractors for over 16 years now here in Michigan, often stored outdoors, and never had anything more than a little (actually very little) parrafin form in the bowl. I usually buy my fuel from the local gas station that also has diesel and rarely have it stored for more than a few months. Also, in the fall, I limit my purchase to just what I immediately need and opt to wait until the weather gets colder and they start adding anti-gelling additives right at the refinery. Never have I added anything else myself, thinking that this could cause a case of "too much of a good thing". ... just some suggestions! :grin:
