Well, I went to the local NH dealer today and here is what he quoted me...

TC29DA, 4x4, HST, R4 W/14LA Loader, Loader has quick attach for the front bucket : $19790
914A 72" Rear Discharge Mid-Mower $2900

Total : $22690

Free delivery
Free 50 hour service, either onsite or pickup if they have someone in the area.

The dealer recommended the rear discharge deck since I will be mulching. He said that clumping "shouldn't" be a problem as long as 1. the grass isn't wet & 2. I don't try to take off too much in one pass.

Let me know if you think this is a good deal or not.

Prices from area to area vary a lot. For my area that will be about 2 grand high. But I think the North East typically runs higher so for you area it may be a good price.

Go to Corrihers and Tarheels. I believe they advertise here on TBN and they will give you quotes for comparisons. I am not saying to buy from them as I personally think for a dealer to really good should be fairly close. But the distance doesn't bother some and may not bother you. Just check them out for comfort.

The other thing I would do is to check out the 33 price. Some dealers only charge like $500 to move up to the 33 and you would be happy with the extra zip.

Well, I did check with Corriher and the price was about $1200 less, until you added in the shipping at $1250....

I did also look at the 33 but I don't really need the extra 4 HP. I could really get by with the TC24DA, but the size/layout of the 29 works better for me. When I asked about the 33 the dealer told me that they are about $800 more and that it wasn't really necessary for what I will be doing.

Who was the dealer? Chappell? They are about the best to deal with...just my experience buying a TN65 with a 6' Landpride rotary cutter.

Yes, it was Corey Chappell over at the Brentwood store. I caught him shortly after closing on Sat. and he was kind enough to stick around for another hour so we could talk. He said that he is normally at the Milton store so I don't know if Ted was off or what, be he did give me Ted's card and said to talk with either of them if I had any questions.

I have dealt with Corey before at the Milford location where he took time to talk on a saturday when my sales guy was off. The entire Chappell family has been around and farming in Milford for a long, long time. Their dealership on route 13 is actually on a corner of their farm.

I locked in a deal this week on the TC33DA... with Supersteer and pretty much loaded... plus some other goodies. Cost on the tractor/loader combo similar to yours, including heavy duty bucket with three hooks is $20,150... Best part is they are delivering it on Saturday. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
