TC30 3rd function kit for FEL

For those who would like to take a look, I uploaded a 15 page .pdf on the Attachments forum that details the installation of a 3rd function kit (it was not copyrighted and the kit manufacturer sent it to me freely).

Part of the research for a tractor I am purchasing.

The diagrams may prove helpful to a handy sort (read - most of us) who would like to mod their tractor using readily available parts. However, supporting the manufacturer of the kit is also encouraged.

Mfr is Construction Attachments in Lenoir, NC, they do not sell direct only through dealers, but I am sure they would refer you to a dealer for purchase.

I purchased the 3rd front remote kit from new holland that mounts on the loader cross arm and hoses then run back to rear hydraulic connections. I think I have the install instructions, anyone interested in them, let me know

What does the 3rd function remote kit from NH cost? I'm looking to add one to the TC35.

Also, is it a 3rd function or a diverter?

Wow! There are a lot of different things running around in this thread and there may be a lot of confusion going on. A "3rd function" FEL kit is normally a electric diverter valve operated by a button on the joystick to give a third function to the normal lift and curl functions of the FEL. A "rear remote" kit can do the same thing if you run hoses all the way up to the loader and use the remote lever instead of a button on the joystick. This rear remote can also be used for any function on the 3PH by disconnecting hoses to the loader and attaching them to something on the 3PH like a hydraulic toplink. This is the kind of kit that holtzacres is talking about.

jjbath, is talking about a rear remote kit on a TC35 which is a whole different class of tractor from the TC30 the OP originally asked about. jjbath, if you check at Messicks.com, I think you will find the cost of the first rear remote kit for your tractor is about $550. You can add two more for a total of 3 remotes, and #2 and #3 are a little less than the first one. I haven't checked, but that is fairly close to the right price. If you don't know how to check, I'll try to assist you.

EDIT: jjbath, I checked Messicks.com. The first rear remote kit is $672 and the next two are about $500 each. The part number for the 1st remote kit is 710366036.

I'm also not sure how many total remotes you can put on a TC30, but I think it is just one. The limitation is probably due to space/clearances on that smaller frame tractor. Perhaps holtzacres knows the details of that. EDIT: I checked messicks.com and they show the single kit available for a little over $506, part number 718348036.

I should have created a new thread but I was feeling lazy last night.

I will be buying the rear remotes but I'd also like the 3rd function on the loader valve. I've used them before and in my opinion they make using a grapple much faster than having to use a different lever.

Is there a 3rd valve kit (electric solenoid) that doesn't use the diverter? ie. so I can use the curl/dump at the same time as the 3rd function? I found the NH kit on partspring.com but it doesn't give any details and I can't find which one is for the TC35

I emailed Nelson from W.R. Long and he said their 3rd function kit is a true 3rd function not a diverter.

"This is not a diverter valve. It is a true 3rd function. There is a rocker switch on the handle and you push the switch left or right to open or close your attachment. You would move your joy stick to go up/down dump/curl."
