TC30 and Kingkutter 5 ft Tiller

Have a TC 30 gear and buying a Kingkutter 5 ft tiller today. Says tiller is rated at 25 to 40 Hp I think. Tractor has somewhere around 25 at PTO. Will this tiller work or will it be to much for TC30.

I wouldn't think you'll have a problem with that size if your low gear is slow enough at PTO speed. I've used my BIL's 60 in. KK with my 17 PTO hp Kubota with no problem, but it is hydrostat.

I have a KK 5' tiller and it fits tight on my T1510 (newer version of TC 30). You may have to use a little muscle to get the bars spread out enough to fit the tiller, otherwise it tills perfectly for a 30hp tractor. You will love what it does to your soil, primo.

Also depends on your soil type and what your expectations are. I run a 60" KKII on a similar HP Kub 12 spd with fine results. I just don't expect to turn field grass into seedbed in one pass.

A few things I learned:

They are often shipped dry, so check that there's oil in both gearboxes.
Don't forget to take the instructions off the underside of the deflector plate before you run it.
Adjust your PTO clutch per those instructions before you hit any fixed objects.
