Hi, I have A shuttle shift tc30, and going over fluid maintenance. The Messicks service write up states changing the clutch hsg fluid. The procedure makes sense but it mentions taking off the clutch assembly to get to the check plug. Is it actually behind the clutch pedal shaft or something ?

I really don’t want to take off unnecessary things to get to this plug so I thouhht I’d check here first. Haven’t been able to find any photos or info on actual procedure. Yet it’s odd that the service protocol states at least checking the level every 50 hrs if it’s not an easy access.

Of note I have The manual shuttle shift, not hydro

Thanks!
Eric

These are 3 of the pages out of the operators manual maintenance section. I don't see anything in the manual about clutch housing fluid. Only the rear end and hydraulic fluid, which is checked at the dipstick behind the seat. As far as I know the manual TC30 has a dry clutch?

Thanks for the reply, here’s what is in Messick’s write up. But it would seem from your maintenance section that it’s maybe a dry clutch. Another thread on here made me think it was wet but honestly there’s not much to go off of. There’s no obvious check plug to me so I’m probably gonna assume it’s dry
