I'm looking at a TC30 4x4 hydro with the 7308 loader and backhoe. What are typical price ranges for this setup? I've browsed a dealer or two and talked to some salespeople, but haven't ever gotten a definitive price.

Also, one dealer said that he only sells the BushHog backhoes with his tractors; he said he prefers these because of the separate PTO-powered pump, that this setup takes stress off the tractor and its pump. But another dealer said that really didn't matter.

Any opinions/experience and pricing info would be appreciated.

I don't see how a PTO pump will take stress off the tractor's engine. Regardless of how the backhoe is powered, it still consumes the same power to operate, and that power is supplied by the engine. How the power is transferred changes (tractor pump vs PTO pump), but still, same power requirements at the hoe to do the same work, in either scenario.

Maybe the dealer recommending BushHog backhoes makes more profit from them? I have the NH 757 backhoe on my TC33D. 320 hours so far and no complaints. It is pretty easy to put on and take off. Since it plugs right in to the tractor's hydraulics you just back up somewhat close to it, plug it in and then you use the backhoe's hydraulics help to position it so that you can back up the rest of the way to complete the installation.

Hi AAdvarc,
I just purchased a TC 30 HST with a 7308 FEL and a woods 7500 backhoe. My backhoe runs off of the internal pump with a separate valve and hydrolics plumbed to the rear of the tractor. It is frame mounted, I was not very comfortable with a 3 pt hitch setup. Not sure what type the brush hog is but I did look at the NH Backhoe setups and they were not a beefy as the woods 7500. My bucket it 16" and so far has performed great. The downside to frame mounted is ground clearence. I have hit bottom real fast a few times but learned quick to watch out for it. One thing in a bargaining point with your dealer is to make sure they load the rear tires. I upgraded to Industral tires, had them loaded and had them install a block heater. I also (as a package deal) bought a woods 5' brush bull(Its built like a tank) and a NH 64" Snowblower with a hydrolic shute. You may also ask them to put a cutting edge on your bucket and perhaps weld a grab hook for a chain too. I did those after the fact. So far my tc 30 is great and after doing tons of research is the best bang for the buck. Private message if you want the $$$ details

Chris

IMO I think that bradco has the easiest mounting system for a backhoe. It is simple in design and all hardware is BEEFY. Woods has a similar mounting sysem coming out i belive. I bought my TC 30 from Tarheel tractors in NC with a greatbend loader in the the low 13's.. I don't know how much more a backhoe would add.. I love my TC 30 since I got the two piece rims that allow more options on widenning the rear.. Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

What...the lowest I've been quoted in SW MO is $16K with a NH loader. $15500 with a Bushhog loader...I'm going with a Mahindra or Kioti if I can't get a NH dealer to get serious about the TC30. They sell them as fast as they come in so I may be out of luck on getting a good deal locally. I guess the pricing is very regional. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It seems that demand is regional too. The NH dealer in my hometown has had 3 or 4 TC30s sitting on his lot for at least 6 months. Of course, that may just be because he's a crook. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Just received a quote of $17,650 for TC30 FWD Hydro w/ 7308 FEL & 60" Woods Mower. Also received a verbal quote of $16,000 for TC33D (2002) with 650 hrs 7308 FEL. Trade in from local nursery. Based on what I am reading the TC30 quote seems high, but I am doing more research.
