I'm a newbie here as well as a newbie Blue owner. I purchased a TC30 in the fall and love the tractor. At the time I couldn't afford the FEL but recently purchased a Woods 1008. Have not recd it yet but should be here within the week. I purchased the Woods because it was about $500 cheaper as quoted by my dealer than the NH. I checked the specs and the Woods was either comparable or better in some areas. I didn't choose the M146 BH because of some of the posts I've read here. I have not seen any posts regarding the Woods. Is this a good FEL????

I appreciate any feedback.

I think you will be happy with the Woods. I had the 1009 on a TC29, and it was just great. The Woods has a great bucket shape and boom geometry for a wide variety of chores. It makes it easy to skim dirt without making "speed bumps". I also like the way the Woods dumps quickly.

I also bought a TC30 last year am thinking of purchasing a FEL but not sure if I can justify the use/price. Have you received yours yet? If so how do you like it? Additionally, if you don't mind me asking what did yours cost?

PS how do you like your TC 30? I have nothing but /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif when I am in the drives seat of mine.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply have_blue!

BigWill, I have not received the FEL yet. Matter of fact, the dealer called today and said it would not be shipped out from Woods til the 9th now. So probably a week and a half to 2 weeks out from getting it. The price quoted to me on the Woods was $3000 installed. That's them coming out and picking up the tractor and then delivering it back. Probably would have been cheaper when I purchased it but like you, I didn't know how much I would need it. We have just moved our horses to our property and can really use it to move manure as well as other projects on our 11 acres. I also have a very long drive to maintain. Also purchased a box blade which I will p/u this weekend to help cover the 300' trench to the barn for electric and water.

Right now I use the tractor for mowing.

Any comments on the Woods FEL will be much appreciated.

Thanks, Tim TC30/ Woods Finish/ BX660 box blade

I have a Woods 1009 FEL on my TC33D and love it. It goes on and comes off very easy and works like a charm. I have had it under some pretty heavy loads before without any problems. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
