Disconnect the existing wire to the fuel solenoid, at the solenoid. Run a new wire from the run position of the key switch to the fuel solenoid.
Run another wire from the start position of the key switch to the starter solenoid.
Should start and run and also will shutdown when you turn off the switch.
Will also need to connect a glow plug timer from the glow plug key switch position to the glow plugs.
Glow plugs should run about ten seconds while holding the key switch to the heat position and then stop.
Keep in mind that doing this will bypass all of the safety functions
