Still.. even having to crack lines athe injectors on the other diesels I've had wasn't too bad... It made you really think about NOT running out of fuel, and NOT putting bad fuel in!!

Soundguy, might I ask you on my TN70A for help? I have done nothing with the fuel filter since I have been afraid of not being able to start it and then have done more harm then good. Can I change my fuel filter and not have to crack (bleed) the injectors? HELP!

My experience (not on a TN70) is that if you fill the bowl to almost overflowing with fuel you can sometimes avoid bleeding the injectors.

I don't have a tn70, but rather a 7610s. On min, I have the fuel tank and tap ( with filter intank above tap ), then a water trap, (with bleeder ), then an electric pump with a canister filter with integral water trap, then the injector pump.

On mine, you unscrew the canister filter locking ring, remove/repalce the filter and lock in place, open the water trap on the bottom, and then open a bleeder knob on the filter assembly.. on mine it is a plastic 'finger' knob..then turn the key to the run position .. the pump will come on.. fuel will bubble from the knob, then close it.. then fuel will run fromthe bottom of the filter, close it.. then open the fuel cap.. you may see bypassed fuel run back into the fuel tank.

If I have a source of clean diesel, and a clean filter/funnel.. I sometimes fill the filter before instalation... however out in the field.. clean filter and filter funnel aren't available.. so i let the pump prime it.

After that I go back and drain the first water trap, again.. with fuel pump still running... then I go to crank her. Typically it takes about 1 - 1.5 seconds to crank her.. after a fuel filter change, that goes from 1.5-2.5 seconds.. usually 2...etc.

I'm not sure how that applies to your tn 70.. except that I've seen alot of the same fitler assemblies, fuel taps and pumps on many large NH tractors.. same with the deluxe hyd spools and qd's.
