Tractor
Kubota L3010HST
Just out of curiosity, given the same price, which tractor would you buy? I drove both consecutively, and prefered the Kubota, but I know people with the Boomer who think it is a better machine. Any words of wisdom to help me make my choice?

No right answer to this one. I just went thru it myself. The dealer i bought from had both on his lot. I got the L3010. Felt comfortable with it, and just liked it better. Once I'd decided on the Kubota brand, i was leaning more to the 2910. i drove both the 2910 and the 3010 again on pavement which was marked enough that i could size up the turning radius's and general manuverablity. I went home and thunk on it. And decided on the 3010. Once that decision was made i started bartering for the best deal - only on that unit. When i was trying to dicker on price and still deciding on which tractor to get, it just got to darn confusing. And the dealers wouldn't budge cause i figure they knew i was still undecided on which one i wanted to get. Once i zero'd in on one tractor it seemed easier to barter back and forth, with all dealers involved.
Good luck in your hunt!

I looked at both machines before I bought my L3010. I liked the ergonomics of the TC33 better but I thought the Kubota had a smoother running engine and HST.

By reading this board there also seemed to be fewer problems with the Kubota's. Nothing serious with the NH machines but more people seemed to complain about little things wrong with them.

It's not easy to make a decision but the good news is whatever you decide it won't be wrong.

My professional farmer friend came by to look at my new L3010. He has a TC33 right now and will be looking more seriously at the Kubota products in a month or so. He does this for a living so he will be probably looking at the L3710 but he definitely liked the L3010.
I am not a professional, but with a whopping 8 hours on my Kubota I can tell you it is the most fun I have had in years!

I drove both the TC33, TC33D and the Kubota 3000 and L3010 before I decided on the TC33D. It just seemed to fit me better. With the amount of time I plan on spending on it, personal fit was a big consideration... especially in light of some recurring back and neck problems.

The important fit items for me: visibility in front of the tractor for FEL work. Where controls fall under my hands & feet. comfort of seat (the pivot on the "D" models was a nice bonus), etc. For someone else, the fit decision might have gone the other way.
