TC33D hydraulic cooler hose failure

I had this happen on my TC30.
First the short hose on the left side near the filter split then like 2 days later one of the ones by the cooler split.

The funny thing is it looks like the ones that failed on my tractor are the replacement ones. The ones that failed on mine were short (about 3 in) with no elbows.

I'm still under warranty and only about 20 min from the dealer so they came up and fixed them both times with in a day. The second time they replaced both the hoses one the cooler and put in a new hyd filter and of course both times they replaced all the fluid.

The funny thing is both times it failed my brother was operating the machine and since he was on my old Case 443 when it's engine froze up he now has quite the reputation for destroying machinery /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Prior to purchasing my TC34, I learned a lot on this issue on the Blue forums. I was happy to see that the new 34s do not have the 90 degree bend in the hoses leading to/from the hydraulic fluid cooler. Mine has all the bends in the straight metal tubing, with short pieces of straight hose to connect to the heat exchanger. Hope it's an improvement.

I just installed the NH kit on my TC33D. The short hoses they sent look like they were no wire. So I used a 2 wire hose I had, which is quite an overkill. I may force the weak link back towards the filter somewhere, time will tell. Maybe NH still wants the rubber tube to be the fuse. Only took about an hour, left the battery on as oil was everywhere anyway. What is the conduit for?

I had a hose go on my TC-25D at 300 hrs. I replaced it and the other one looked ok. I decided to check it for leaks while it was running. Both hoses were bulged out, but the outer rubber on the old one was cracked so bad I could see the cord, so I replaced it. I couldn't see any cracks until the tractor was running.

I just finished installing the re-designed hyd. cooler tubes and must say it looks considerable more reliable than the original design.

Took about 90 min including adding hyd. fluid, which I overestimated how much was needed. Should I be overly concerned if it's a little over the top mark (1/8")?

And my last question is what to do with the original parts...anyone need OEM hydraulic tubes off an 03 33D?

Is it a simple undo the hose clamps, remove the original tubes and install the new? Any 'gotchas' about removing the tube at the hydraulic filter? I plan on doing this tomorrow.

No issue with being 1/8" over the top mark.

Just that simple, I took the top tube off first in order to get a socket on the filter tube.

Not even a scraped knuckle.
