TC33D Keeps going through fuel shutoff solenoids

/ TC33D Keeps going through fuel shutoff solenoids #31
Who said anything about "mounting position" ?

I am talking about the ADJUSTABLE link rod ! IF the stop lever on the pump comes against its stopper BUT the plunger INSIDE the solenoid IS NOT on ITS stopper, the wingdings WILL GET HOT !

The solenoid operation for this tractor does not function that way. There is no adjustable link arm. The operation and test description indicates that the solenoid just pulls away from the pump mechanism to halt fuel flow. The solenoid is designed to come to it's full travel regardless of what the fuel shut off mechanism within the pump does. This is confirmed by the "unscrew it to stop the tractor" work around. The energized bench test stick out dimension is the only criteria.

Is it the type with a pull rod that actuates the stop lever ?
If so, they must be adjusted so the solenoid plunger goes all the way back to its internal stop . If it is not on the stop, the winding's just get hotter and hotter as the TRY to pull the plunger back . This is why they burn out .
Dont you hate it when you give the answer and nobody listens!

The documents posted in post 24 even state the importance of the solenoid plunger travel distance.

At least you tried.

There is no adjustment other than spacers between the solenoid and pump. the plunger retracts into it's self. the one in the pic and video is not the one I have.

Weird, my td80d has the one wire solenoid. It has to have 12v on it in order for the tractor to run. It's not energized when the key is off.
