Was wondering if this is a reasonable price:
TC33D Hydrostat (no SS), 7308 FEL (68" bucket), single remote and turf tires $17,550. Woods RD7200 RMFM $1,850. Includes setup, fuel and delivery (about 30 miles).

TIA,

Chuck

I can't comment on the mower, but that seems like a decent price for the tractor and loader. I got my dealer down to $17,500 for a TC33D with R4's (filled), block heater, and 68" HD bucket on the 7308 loader (then I ended up switching to the Woods 1012 loader instead). I had remotes installed later (didn't know enough to ask for them when I bought the tractor).

If yo are getting one remote put in, be sure to ask about what type of valve they are using. If I remember correctly, if there is a chance you may be adding another later, they can put one on that's "stackable" so you can easily add another later. If they don't do this, you end up throwing out some of your original parts when you go to expand down the road.

Thanks John,

Will check on the 'stackable' remote. Price includes tires filled - with methonal I think. Need to ask about the block heater, not sure if I need it here in Northern Virginia.

Dealer sells both Kubota and New Holland. Test drove the TC33D and B2910, liked them both. Liked the Kubota's hydro petal better, and the arms on the seat were nice, but thought the New Holland was just a tad more comfortable for me. The swivel seat, adjustable steering wheel and extra four horses kept me on course to buy Blue. I did like not having to lift my foot to change directions with the 'rocker' style petal, but for me, would be more comfortable if the front/forward part of the petal was higher. May have been because I did not have had the seat far enough forward, but I really had to push/rotate my foot down to get full forward. Shouldn't be a problem due to the cruise control, and I figure after driving it a bit, will get used to it. If not, I think I can either remove the pedal and 'customize' it a bit so it is more to my liking, or just mount a block on the forward part of the pedal to put the ball of my foot on so pressing down on it is more like a 'normal' pedal.

Regards,

Chuck

When I was shopping for my TC33D, I really wanted the separate forward and reverse pedals, like what was on the class 3 boomers. After a few hours of seat time, however, I've gotten so used to the rocker pedal set up on my TC33D that I don't even think about it any more. The control comes very naturally to me.

Might want to double check this. Methanol is toxic and flammable. Perhaps they meant windshield washer fluid?

You can get arms on the seat of a Boomer as well. About $100 regular price. Ask if they'll add them at no cost.

I'm probably confused. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Will find out for sure what is being used to fill the tires - but I did ask if 'it' was safe and the dealer confirmed that it was both non-toxic and non-corrosive.

I believe my tires are filled with some type of methanol mixture.

Checked with the dealer, the fill for the tires is some sort of methonal blend, but non-flammable/toxic/corrosive - like windshield washer fluid as Mike mentioned above. Wouldn't want the methanol they run in race engines in them tires. Now, in the fuel tank of my Miata, that might be a different story /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

John, the remote is not 'stackable' but the dealer said there is room to add a second remote if I ever need it.

Arm rests are going to be $75 installed. They are also going to check the hydraulic pressure in the FEL lines to be sure they are set to spec per some threads I read on the 7308 FEL.

As soon as the turfs come in, the tractor should be delivered. Hopefully that will be by the end of the week.

Besides checking/tightening the nuts and bolts, is there any thing else I should do to the tractor when it first arrives? Other than get on it and have fun, teach my wife how to drive it, go visit my neighbors (five Kubotas. two Belarus' and one John Deere) and show off the blue..... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks for the tips!!

Chuck

I 'm in the process of buying a TC33D hydro with 7308 FEL w/68in HD bucket and 914A MMM 60 inch w/ R4 tires. Dealer quoted me the following:
TC33D hydro $13,800
TC33D hydro w/SS $14,700
7308 FEL w HD bucket $3195
914A MMM $1925

I grabbed the above with the SS option

Hope this helps. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Prairiegrass,

That looks like a very good price! Even the $350 or so for the rear remote the dealer included doesn't make up for the difference, guess that's just part of life here in Northern Virginia... I opted out of the SS as I don't have much to manuever around and will put the $$ towards a tiller or blade later this year. Went to the 72" RMM, and even considered an 84" unit, just for the decrease in mowing time for when my neighbor, with his 15' batwing Woods rotary cutter behind his BFT, is busy and can't cut my lot. Takes him maybe 30 minutes to cut five acres, at a very leisurely pace. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif There are just a few spots where I will scalp, and I have a pile of dirt I can use to help correct/reduce some of that.

Regards,

Chuck
