Anyone know how a 33 handles a 6 foot rear rotary cutter "Bush Hog"?

Also how much tiller will one of these handle?

How removal replacement of the loder compared to JD?

I pull a 6ft finish mower with my TC33D with no problems at all. For a brush cutter I will probably get a 5ft when I get one just so I can take down decent sized saplings. The loader is fairly easy to get off.

I also pull a 6ft finish mower with my TC33, I do have a 5ft Rhino shredder that will cut very well if the weeds are not too tall. I mowed my neighbors small pasture the other night with weeds taller than the hood of the tractor, I had to make two passes to cut everything but eventually got the job done. I don't think that you would be pleased with anything larger than the 5ft shredder on the TC33.

I don't know how taking off and putting on the loader compares to the Deere, but it is quite simple--5-10 minutes-- unless things get cockeyed.

I hace a 5 foot Woods brushbull on my TC33D and am happy with the performance. I would not want to go with a 6 foot model, unless it is an area that is mowed with some regularity. If you let the grass/brush grow too high, it may be too much for your tractor with the 6' cutter... you might get through it, but you'd have to slow down to the point where it might be faster with a 5 ft unit.

I've been looking at tillers myself. My dealer has been steering my towards the 50" size range for a TC33D. I've not tried it yet, so no first hand experience... he said they may get one to use as a rental/demo unit that I hope to experiment with. If your soil has already been worked recently, you might be able to go a bit larger. If it's never been worked, you might have to go over it more than once to get it worked to a good depth.

Tony,

I have a 6' rotary cutter (Southern), but I only use it for mowing our horse pasture. It goes along pretty well with no bogging down but I don't let the grass get very high-8-12".
The pasture is about 7 acres of fairly level field.

I have done some brush cutting but of no significant quantity or size (less than 3".)

I run a 3 blade 7' finish mower on a 33D and it loads on uphill cuts but other than that it is fine.
