I just purchased a house on 7 acres and have been looking at these 3 tractors to maintain it. I will be using it to maintain 1200' of gravel drive and to mow an open field (only 3 trees on it) of 4.5 acres. I will keep this mowed regularly - at least every two weeks. I have a 61" ztr to mow around the house and the tighter spaces for around shrubs and trees. I also see the need for a fork attachment to move pallets around...the la463 loader on the Kubota L3400 does not offer this I was told, is this correct? My questions are which of these tractors would be best for my purposes and also what size rear mount mower should I go with? Could I go with an 84" or would the 72" mower be better with these 30 hp tractors?

The NH and Deere models are premium tractors. The L3400 is an economy model. Looking at equal tractors would be a comparison with the L3130.
I did not find the thread. But one TBN'er got a ATI bucket, QA and pallet forks for his L3400 tractor.

Ron hit the nail on the head with these 3 tractors. But just to elaborate a bit, the TC will have a much heavier duty bucket than the L3400. The TC's bucket is going to have a round tube welded in place under the upper lip, it also has a higher capacity bucket in terms of the quantity of material it will hold. The L3400 has a folded top bucket design it is not nearly as strong as the welded reinforcement of the TC. Deere seems to offer multiple bucket options, from heavy duty to rolled or curled top designs, at that size machine, I believe they will be QA style. You probably will find the L3400 to be less expensive by a good margin, but it is understandable when you look at the details between these 3 machines.

The 3x2x tractors and TC-DA tractors have an amazing amount of ergonomic thought put into them, and those little things make them easier and safer to operate, as well as more convenient. The brochures and spec sheets don't do these tractors justice, even casually sitting in the seat doesn't show some of the genius of the thought behind their designs. For me it would be a very hard choice between the JD and the NH. I'd probably slightly favor the NH because I think their loader design is superior, certainly the visibility to the ground is superior. Although the JD is a close second in terms of loader use and visibility. I guess if the costs were close, I'd buy from the dealer I liked better. If there was a big spread in costs (over $1000) then I'd probalby buy the less expensive of the two. But I could easily justify spending more for either of these two tractors and rule out the L3400. Now if you subsititue the L3130 with 723 loader into the mix and eliminate the L3400, then I'd look really hard at all 3. The L3130 is awesome when matched with the 723, and if loader CAPACITY was needed, it would win hands down.

Be careful when you really compare apples to apples specs on these tractors. In some of the brochures, JD will use pivot point capacities, while NH and Kubota give multiple measuring points.

I can only comment on the L3400, a QA can be installed on the L3400, a plate is welded to back of the bucket and the QA arms from a LA513 is installed on the loader arms.
My Kubota dealer installed this on my L2800.
