TC33DA FWD Not Working?

   / TC33DA FWD Not Working? #11
I have a TC40D with SS. I find that my tractor turns better and makes less marks in the lawn when it is NOT locked into 4wd. I have noticed a little problem with mine though. Sometimes I lock int 4wd for a job. When I am ready to unlock I move the lever back to "auto" and then I get off the tractor and move the lever on the side of the transfer case the rest of the way. For some reason moving the lever on the console will not fully disengage the 4wd.

Never really felt the need to lock the tractor in 4WD, it's much harder to turn locked in 4WD, and the automatic position saves wear and tear on the front tires. 4WD is automatically brought into play when needed with SensiTrak anyway.

The lever to the left of the seat and on the floor disengages 4WD for roading the tractor. The lever on the left (fender height) puts the SensiTrak in full automatic or locked in 4WD mode.

Looks like my record has a scratch! Pineridge, I will assume that your comments were directed at my post post /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I am familiar with the two selector levers. I do have trouble with the lever that selects "auto" or "locked". I don't used the locked position often but it is handy for some jobs. When I move the selector from locked to auto the transfer case stays in the locked mode until I reach under the tractor and manually move the selector (the piece that the shifter cable is hooked to) on the side of the transfer case back to the auto position. I'm not quite sure how to fix this problem.
