New owner of TC33DA. Been lurking on this site for a couple of months and appreciate all the info. I Just performed 50 hour maintenance. When checking the hydraulic fluid, should the dipstick be fully seated like a typical crankcase dipstick or should the fluid level be read with the dipstick seals resting on the housing?

Since the Operator's Manual doesn't indicate which way to check it, I fully seat it.

Welcome to TBN, Birddogkc. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It sounds like you've been enjoying that TC33DA if you haven't taken the time to post until you get 50 hours on it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I always check oil with the dipstick fully seated unless the instructions say to do differently. In a large fluid reservoir like the TC33DA has for hydraulic fluid, it probably doesn't matter. If the reservoir is for lubrication oil and small (like lawnmower engines) the fluid level is much more critical. On your tractor, I don't think you'd ever see a difference in operation. The same tractor with or without a loader and backhoe has the same sized reservoir despite using a lot more fluid for attachments.
