Check to see if the fuel shut-off solenoid is getting hot and dropping out. Although it is attached to the injector pump and will warm up with the engine, if it is bad it will be noticeably hotter. Once it cools, it will run until it overheats again. Another issue could be a fuel venting problem stopping fuel flow so try loosening the fuel cap.
