</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Seacove and other SuperSteer owners,

There is in fact a June 2005 re-design of the grill guard to avoid the problem you found with SuperSteer. This change is so recent that I found out about it through the NH help line. Even my dealer hadn't heard about it until he looked in his most recent bulletin book. The new part number is 7198490056, at least for the TC33DA. He quoted a cost of $190.

I spoke with dealer today. They've ordered the new guard and will swap out the old. Thanks.

Still waiting on replacement grill guard. Called the dealer yesterday, and story was changed from "new guard on order" to "NH is aware of problem, and they (the dealer) can cut down my current guard". Furious - I called NH, who put me on hold while they called the dealer. When back on line, NH told me that dealer has new guard on order. Called back the dealer, who said yes on order. The dealer also gave a different part # than listed in previous post - #719849096.

General question - is there anyway to speak with an actual informed technician at the NH customer service #, or do they just keep referring you back to the dealer. I am very disappointed that I can not talk with a knowledgable/technical person at NH. Thanks.

If you ever get a chance to talk to a real NH technician, be sure to post the experience.... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif NH relies on dealers to interface with customers and they can certainly suck sometimes. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Just wanted to report the new grill guard arrived yesterday and dealer came and switched out same day. Works perfect, I can now enjoy the full benefit of the SuperSteer option. Also wanted to report that anyone who has the grill guard can finish off the end holes nicely with 1" black nylon Hillman plugs available in the Lowes specialty hardware section. They fit perfectly, look great, and will definitely prevent the yellow jackets and hornets from nesting inside the tubes. Thanks.

The Hillman part number should be 881290 and the size is 1". They come 2 to a pack and are available in black.
