Does anyone know the turning radius of the TC33DA both with and without supersteer? I tried searching the threads but did not comeup with anything. I am trying to decide between buying a TC33DA and John Deere 4310. Seems like Deere publishes more stats than New Hollond does.

If my book is correct is says turning radius w/brakes FWD 96.5 SuperSteer 4WD 93.8 These measurements are listed for the TC33D but I can't imagine any difference in the DA model, although I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a TC33DA without Supersteer, invested the $$ in implements instead after a trial ride & being satisfied with standard turning radius. Have not regretted it yet, even in the woods. FYI I saw comments in another thread noting that the turning advantage of supersteer is offset by the extra length of the tractor with FEL (it turns tighter, but what is being turned is longer). If you're not using FEL, may not be a factor. Food for thought ...

Good point. Although I love the SS on my TC35D I wish the tractor was more compact. Storage is also a consideration if you plan on getting an FEL. Starts taking up alot of space fast.

Ron - welcome to tbn. As an engineer myself, I love to compare stats. If nothing else, you are confident that you are comparing different brands as "apples to apples". That said, don't make a decision based on turning radius. Every compact I've driven - New Holland, Deere & Kubota has awesome maneuverability. Also a 100# more or less lift capacity makes little practical difference.

Test drive the machines and see which one you like. How is the visibility? are the controls easy to reach? Most importantly, how is the dealer?

Good luck & enjoy your new property.

First, welcome to TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Second, just curious, what circumstances do you have where the turning radius would swing a decision?

I'm sure it's inches.

We suggest you search out the TBN site and you will see more than a few complaints made by members because their tractors power steering acted sluggish with a full loader bucket. I would also bet that you will be hard pressed to find that same complaint from a member using a SuperSteer axle. We lift pallets with ours, some almost too heavy to get off the ground and the power steering has always performed well.

The owners manual shows 116" for regular steer and 106.3" for supersteer. Welcome to TBN and good luck in your search /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I should have mentioned that these dimensions are W/O BRAKES /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

Thanks for the info Trkbldr.

Mike it is not the only consideration, however, I am planting 10 acres of trees this spring. As they grow over the next twenty years I want to be able to get in around and under them. Therefore size and turning radius are factors in the equation.
