Hello looking at the injection pump on my tc35a I see the pump is bolted on with 4 bolts. The top right bolt looks as though it has a screw tapped into the head of the bolt. Is that the bleeder screw? What type of driver does it take? I can't get close enough to it with reading glasses.

Or? What am I looking for? If this is not the bleeder screw? Thanks in advance, and forgive my ignorance!

Best regards,
Steve

Steve,

look at the pdf attached below that shows your injector pump. can you identify the bolt and associated designator number?

Thanks for the reply. The bolt I am talking about does not show on the pdf you sent. It is one of the 4 bolts that hold the pump to the engine case. Maybe the screw is something that someone else machined into it. It has a been tapped and has a`screw in it. I will go back out in the morning and check for the bleed screw/bolt in your diagram. I sure appreciate your help.

Best Regards,
Steve

Reference #24 in the attachment is the bleed screw. Some models have the injector leakoff line attached at this location as well. The 4 bolts and stud/nut pairs that attach the pump to the block have nothing to do with bleeding the pump.

Cool:) additionally if you bleed your fuel line up to the pump and you still have a bit of issue, then you'll need to loosen compression nut at fuel connection to the injector to bleed air from fuel lines to the injectors. You do not need to do it now.

Hello JC,

Thanks for the added info. I will bleed those lines later. Have a great day.

Hi Steve,

You do not need to "bleed the lines from the pump to injector " now since you got the tractor running. I was given additional information in case you needed it. Sometimes the vacuum hold the fluid in the injector fuel line (it is same as inserting the straw in your soft drink and block the straw tube on top with your finger tip, almost always that will hold the liquid in the tube when you withdraw it out of the drink).
The suggestion was only if pump bleeding was not enough to get the tractor going.

JC,
Yes, it runs fine now. I still wonder why the mounting bolt for thr pump has a screw threaded into it?

Thanks!

Steve
