JC,
Yes, it runs fine now. I still wonder why the mounting bolt for thr pump has a screw threaded into it?

Thanks!

Best Regards,
Steve

Steve,

Can you post a picture?. I'm thinking out loud here as I am not familiar with your particular tractor. I have seen devices are attached to block where the mounting studs are part of block and you have normal bolts to tighten the device to the block. At times the mounting bolt/stud may serve as a mounting point for a harness for electrical or some other component. In the latter a bolt is machined with the treaded studs on both ends where one side mounts a device to a block and the other threaded end serves for some bracket or electrical race way. We may be able to answer your question if we see a pic.

JC,

ps. The pic below shows where hyd pump gets bolted to the timing gear cover of my tractor. The pump get mounted by two bolts(long) and two nuts. The studs are part of the cover that helps aligning the pump and long bolts uses two threaded holes on the left side. not here but I have seen studs long enough that not only mounted the first device was also used to secure something else also.

JC, I'll post up a picture of my tractor's injector pump, but you have to realize that Steve's tractor only has three pump plungers where mine has four. The PDF you showed earlier is in error because it shows the injector pump for the 4-cyl engine instead of the 3-cyl engine on the TC35. In that diagram, there are six mounting bolts for the pump's cover, but Steve's tractor only has 4. I don't know why NH didn't make a note that this was the 4-cyl pump shown, but they did not.

If you look at my picture, you can clearly see the mounting and the bleed valve. I too am confused as to which "screw" and what tapped fitting Steve is talking about. I see one possibility between and below the 1st and 2nd injector pumps on the left side. That is not a mounting bolt and I'm not sure just what it is. The bleed point is at the banjo connection above the pump.

Good morning Jim,

I stand corrected, as you mentioned I did pick up TC35a injector PDF off of NH website, and for what reason they show four injector jobby vs three I don't know as well
I was merely trying to help for the question asked which was the bleeding point. I saw on your injector pump the threaded fitting that you are talking about. Is there a possibility that might be some sort of pump alignment device ?. Is there a threaded stud there? I know you do not think that is a mounting bolt, but if you compare that with the 3 mounting bolts on top surely you see the symmetry there. Is there anyway you can put a wrench on it? although I see it quite round. Is it machined to the injector pump?

Hello Jim and JC,
I am still catching up on things around here. It is the upper right hand mounting bolt that mounts the pump to the engine. I should be able to have daylight to photograph it on Thursday. Sorry for a late response! Lots of catch up work to do around here! Lost 2 horse stalls to tons of wet snow. Got to dig out a couple saddles and other stuff out from under there. That along with a full time job keeps me on my toes!

Best regards,
Steve

JC, thank you for posting the pdf of the injector pump. I was having the same issue with bleeding the line and could not find the bleeder screw. It does have the injector leak off line. Just pulled the line off, fuel flowed and it started right up.

Thanks again,
Patrick
