Jinman / TO_Bud : I thought I would give you guys an update. I have been traveling for the last 2 weeks and yesterday was my first day with some free time. The jumper wire has worked so well that I had forgotten to order the new part. I will be in Charlotte tomorrow and will order a new sensor for my seat.

I traced all the wires and connectors associated with the seat switch. I could not find anything that was pinched or twisted. I also took several of the connections apart to look for debris or a bent pin. I can't explain it, but something inside the seat swich itself (the part in the bottom of the seat) seems to be bad. I will post a few pictures when I repair the switch.

I wish I had more skill with electrical questions. Being able to follow a wiring diagram or use a VM to its full potential is almost like magic to me. It was just luck that I was able to get it to work. I do appreciate all the advice. Thank you.

CNC, I sometimes operate my tractors while standing up to be able to see. Sometimes it's when creeping under something with my pallet forks or just getting a better view of something else. I don't do it often, but I sure don't want my tractor shutting down if I stand up. My industrial TLB has no such seat switch. I have no idea why OSHA thinks it is necessary on farm tractors. From the 2nd week I owned my tractor, I've had the seat switch jumpered as in the photo. I now use that as an additional anti-theft feature. I disconnect the jumper and put the connector behind the plastic side panel when I leave my tractor. Even if someone has the key, the tractor cranks but won't start. I put my key and jumper in my house and install the jumper each time before using my tractor. I used to leave the key with my tractor, but a neighbor decided to "borrow" it while I was away. Since that time, I make the tractor more secure. I don't miss not having the seat switch, but I do use the feature for security.

Jim -
That is awesome. I am going to make one of those myself. I do a lot of work with my tractor and the seat kill switch will cut the engine off if you lean too hard to one side. It is a real pain when you back up.

Thanks for the info!!!
