I've finally realized that if I am going to get stuck, it will be at the worst time and at the worst possible place. I once stuck my Ford Jubilee in the edge of a pond while I was mowing. I let the right-front tire slip off the lip of the pond and it sunk down to the axle while the rest of the tractor started crabbing toward the mud. I was in a hurry because it was starting to rain and I wanted to get my mowing fininshed. So there I was, stuck in the edge of a pond with a rain storm starting. All I could think of was my tractor being submerged in water as the rain poured down. Luckily, I got my pickup close enough that I was able to string tow straps and chain to the tractor and pull it out, but for a second I had been in shear panic, thinking about my tractor "drowning" in the pond. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
