Tractor
Kubota B2910
I am looking at purchasing a TC40 but want to make sure it will fit in my garage... What is the height of point where the ROPS fold down? I only have a 9x7 garage door.

Also does anyone have any experience mowing a lawn with this tractor with the 7.5' mower deck?
Thanks,
Troy

Troy, the ROPS folded is 77.5", and up it's 95". I don't know about the mower. You have about 35 power takeoff horsepower. So at 5 per foot, that equals 7'. You might bog down some in heavy grass.

It looks like with the ROPS folded down I will be able to fit into my garage... Thanks for the info

I just wonder how well this mower deck will work on standard lawn mowing. It is quite large. I am used to my 72" mmm on my B2910 which seems to work fairly well. I also wonder about the extra weight on the TC40 compared to the Kubota B2910? Too much weight on the lawn for a dedicated mower? Ideal scenario I would have a zero turn for the lawn and use the tractor for loader work, grass seeding (OS1548 and PS1572), aerating, and brush mowing. But budget does not allow.

I'm pondering doing the same thing....

Currently, I'm mowing with a 72" mower behind my dx33 case and having no problems with power. Even through higher grass.

I have a SQ172 6' cutter that I used on my TC40DA before I got the Boomer 8N. It worked well as long as I didn't go to fast in the really tall grass -3'-4'. For lawns a 7 1/2' should be fine as far as power goes. I bought a 6' finish mower but didn't like how it looks afterwards. If you use R4 or R1 tires it will damage the grass as the front tires slide in a turn. A wide cutter leaves the grass uneven as it hits high and low spots. I bought a zero turn and it works better for lawns.

I use R4 tires and have no problems with it tearing up the grass. Sounds like an alignment issue.
