I was ripping my up my 4000 s.f. vegetable garden plot and on the last pass I shifted in reverse to clear the tines then back into forward-NO. The shuttle lever just softly wig-waged as in broken. I pulled the lower left hand side black plastic cowling underneath the lever and found a very important punch pin that connects the larger in diameter long lever shaft to the smaller in diameter transmission stub shaft laying neatly on top of the manual transmission. Disastrous condition but and easy fix. For further non-issues of pin rejection I wrapped the newly re-installed pin with a hose clamp. Tools: You will need a very long 1/2" socket extension to remove the two bolts inside the engine cowling by the muffler. Heads up.
