TC40D Engine just stopped - Any help?

replace it with a circuit breaker ... they may have to order it but it's in the parts book ....that one blows a lot ....

Any reason why it blows a lot?

I even blows ont he big tractors.. My NH 7610s had it happen.

My gut feeling is that 7.5A is underrated for that circuit.. or to put it in a technical view.. it is correctly rated.. with no built in tolerance for lossin the system.. slightly low battery.. cold mornings.. corrosion.. etc.. All which can cause conditions like lower votlage.. that lead to higher current demands.. and thus.. blown fuses..

Yet another example of NH engineering at it's best.. probably the same guy in charge of engineering that circuit was the one who designed the breakable oil cooler lines for the mid HP units, as well as the one who ran all the fragile wires and connectors unprotected , under the tractor where a twig can pull it loose, and then leave you stranded out inthe wilderness... due to a spade terminal coming un-done...

sounds about right to me ...... dunno why it does it - but there have been many on this site that have experienced it including me - Thanks to TBN when it happened to me I went straight for it -- easy fix and with the breaker in place - no more problems.

I had the sme fuse on my TC40d . The wire running to the PTO switch was rubbing on the case underneith . Some electric tape good as new . Dave in PA
