I haven't posted in a long-long time but I have a problem and need some ideas!

My HST doesn't release completely when I take my foot off of the go-pedal: It will creep very slowly but doesn't stop. If I hit the brakes, it will stall the engine. To stop completely, I must take the trans out of gear into neutral.

I have had the tractor since new, in 2002 and it only has 1,200 hours on it. It has had 2 complete services, with all fluids and all filters changed and is in great shape other than this new problem. Hyd fluids are all full and there are no leaks.

I haven't looked to see if maybe some fescue or a stick may be lodged somewhere and not allowing the pedal or linkage to disengage completely. It may be a stuck HST valve????

I would really appreciate any comments!

Thanks, Sam

There are many here with hydros, but it sounds like all you need is a good cleaning, and lube on your linkage. Have you done that yet?

Sam, follow this link to a thread with info. In the linked thread, there are other links to read. By the time you finish reading, you'll be an expert. What is wrong is your HST pedals are out of adjustment. I suspect the locknut came loose and now the adjustment has changed. It's easy to fix. After you read the threads, if you need more help, give us a shout.
