TC40D Paint Peeling

I got my 40D in January and already there's a couple of spots of the blue deck area where the paint peeled off of the bottom. Looking at the bottom of the area where your feet rest and where the pedals attach, it looks as if the paint was put on over metal that was starting to develop a rusty film. Around where the pedal mechanism attaches and steps attach, rust is coming though the paint but it is not flaking off like it is on some of the bracing attachment points on the underside. There was obviously no primer put on, and it looks like the metal was already rusting when painted. I'm thinking of bringing this up with the dealer and if I don't get a good answer, taking it to NH. Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone looked under this deck area? Essentially I am refering to the portion where the heavy rubber mat is on the top side. Needless to say I am very dissapointed!!!

I would also put a bug in the dealer ear about the paint lifting,just in case it should {fenders,hood,dash etc..}continue.

djradz,N.H. might not use primer on some parts.Some mfgs. not just tractors use some type of electrostatic charge before painting thus reducing the need for primer.Not saying that this procedure is right or wrong. The machine mfg. I work for does this on certain items and I have seen the peeling paint problem on occasion.The only problem I have encountered is with the N.H. deck (underneath) all of the paint has come off, pressure washing may not of helped but I am really not concerned with that.If your dealer doesnt satisfy you,I know that a email to customer service at N.H. will get you a quick response,it worked for me!
